One of Ireland’s top chefs Eimer Rainsford has abandoned the hectic pace of professional kitchens to dedicate her time to inspiring culinary enthusiasts. Eimer's instrumental involvement with Avoca Restaurants has earned her a reputation as a trendsetter in quality Irish food. Cooking has been her passion and her life for the past 17 years.

Since qualifying from Ballymaloe cookery school in 1994 Eimer has worked for Conran Restaurants in London, Embassies and private clients. However the main body of her culinary career was with Avoca. Eimer was a major contributor to the Avoca Café Cookbooks and was former head Chef for Avoca restaurants at Kimacanogue, Powerscourt, Suffolk Street as well as starting up the award winning premises in Rathcoole. Her food is refreshing, as Eimer is bold with flavours and encourages food to be vibrant, both in presentation and in flavour.
